About Art 501(c)(3) Incorporated

Does the world need another nonprofit arts organization?

Perhaps not.

On the other hand, the world is full of intriguing and rewarding art projects that are neither commercially viable nor feasible for existing nonprofit arts organizations ... ideas that will never be realized without the infusion of additional talent, energy, and resources.

And that’s where Art501(c)(3) comes in.

Art501(c)(3) is a nonprofit, tax-exempt arts organization, a California corporation founded in 1989. And just as a corporation is a conceptual legal construct, Art501(c)(3) is a nonprofit organization without a large staff, spacious offices, and other physical manifestations of a “normal” nonprofit arts organization. Art501(c)(3) serves as a catalyst for specific arts projects, most of which are realized through a combination of financial, technical, and in-kind resources provided by select individuals and organizations.

Art501(c)(3)’s “headquarters” is an intranet site that provides a central planning and staging area for geographically remote project partners.

We work with any individual or organization with the ideas, passion, skills, and resources necessary to translate concepts into reality, or vice-versa. We welcome all contributions.
